Belly of the East (Short Film)
"Belly Of The East" is an impactful short film written by young people as part of The Full Clip Winternship pilot program which was funded by Westfield Eastbank creative Futures Fund) and was delivered @ the Spotlight Centre across 12 months.
This groundbreaking initiative provides aspiring creatives with paid opportunities to explore screen, stage, and music industries via workshops led by industry professionals such as Amazon’s certified photographer Delroy Matty, the award winning youth coach Amani Simpson, Sitting Duck Music’s very own Rob May platinum selling producer Rxntree, the young creatives used gained knowledge to write and co direct “The Belly Of The Beast” which was Produced by The In Motion Production Group Films LTD and directed by Steven O Eniraiyetan.
Belly Of The Beast follows British rap group The Hitrz, as they confront the destructive power of the internet after losing their record deal and credibility due to media backlash.
The film captures the harsh realities of the online world, showcasing the challenges artists face in a digital age while allowing young talents to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the production process.Producers Keshia Watson and Andre Wooz, helped guide the young filmmakers in bringing this powerful story to life.
